Orange Coast Division Championship

Points System Rules

The Orange Coast Division Championships will be based on participation and performance in all of the Individual Open events on the Orange Coast Division schedule for the 2005-2006 season with the exception of the Long Beach Invitational 2005.
The Orange Coast Division system for awarding points is based on the number of entrants in a tournament, the finishing place of the fencer, and the strength of the entire field.
The total points awarded to each fencer for each event is: Earned Points + Strength Points + Participation Points

Earned Points will be awarded by subtracting your final place from the number of entrants. (Entrants - Finish)
Strength Points will be awarded based on the group rating of the event (see the table below). Strength Point calculations will be rounded to the nearest whole number.
Participation Points will be awarded to every fencer (10), regardless of final placing.

Point Standings will be updated and posted on the OCFencing.com website.
Point Standings will be posted at the monthly tournaments for those who do not have internet access.
